Do you wake a sleeping baby or not?

No!!! There are definitely situations when you have to, but my sister, mom, and grandma have always told me never to ever wake a sleeping baby. I believe it too. I'm scared to wake up Duncan, and a week or so ago he went to bed at 5 and slept for over 12 hours....so....I'm a believer. Let the sleeping baby lie.

Never wake a sleeping baby, unless there is a serious need, like we have to go somewhere or I'm so engorged that if my baby doesn't eat soon, I'm going to explode. Waking a baby mid sleep is only going to teach him to take small cat naps throughout the day, which trust me, down the road you will regret. He is sooo cute though, so I'm sure it's just hard to not want to hold and play with him all day long. Good luck

Well thanks for the input:) Last night Steven fell asleep at 6:30 without a diaper change, pajamas or having been fed. I expected that he would wake up at 8 or so and I could do it then but 8:30 came and went. He usually pees out of his diaper (the bigger size that I use for nights) sleeping from 7:30 to 7:30 anyways and I was trying to decide whether to have to wake up in the wee hours of the morning to feed him and change his diaper and clothes or wake him up and then put him back down....I ended up waking him up at 9:30 and luckily he went back to sleep:)

Hee hee my baby is really little still, so I woke him up to feed him. He is figuring out the difference between night and day now though so I haven't had to wake him this week. Once he grows some more chubs then he is ok to sleep as much as he wants.
